Welcome!

The plentiful days of late summer have arrived at the farm.  Wheelbarrow loads of squash, buckets of tomatoes, bins of potatoes, baskets of beets... We spend our days, evenings, and weekends processing all this bounty, eating it or saving it for later.  Its a strange time when the garden we've been so careful with comes to a valiant finish.  We pull food from the plants and then comes the savage efforts of putting the garden to bed. Everything must go... into the compost.

  1. There is a concert of song in the garden. The goldfinch and blackbirds compete with the buggling of elk nearby, sounding like a orchestra warming up for the symphony. Planting sunflowers drew in more songbirds than we have ever had before. It has been a joy and the garden grows better.
