Field Test

I am doing a field test on our 25 acre corner field that is in organic transition. We disked down a cover crop and then planted a soft white spring wheat. Then we drilled legumes over the top. I am testing 5 legumes at 2 seeding rates and replicating the test three times. 33 test plots!

First we disked down our Hairy Vetch cover crop.

Then I drilled the legumes

Persian Clover. Very hard to find. Maybe for good reason.

Arrowleaf Clover.

Test plots.... the whole field was filled in by the time I was done, but there was some careful navigation involved... straight lines to stakes... much use of binoculars.
